Daniel Gigiano Bio

Humble Beginnings

 

Attorney Daniel Gigiano grew up in a small town near Chicago, Illinois.  He played on his high school’s football, baseball and wrestling teams.  He found success in wrestling.  Most noteworthy, Dan was the individual conference champion and the regional champion.  However, he lost his match to qualify for the state tournament.  Fortunately, his high school team did qualify for the dual meet portion of the state tournament.  That team, with Dan’s help, placed third in state.  Furthermore, he was third in his class at his high school.  Also, Dan was a two-time student-athlete award-winner.  Finally, he was a member of the National Honor Society.    

                                          

Formal Education

 

In 1990, Daniel Gigiano received his bachelors degree at the University of Illinois.  He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.  In 1993, Daniel Gigiano graduated from the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.  During his time in school, Dan Gigiano volunteered at a homeless shelter and tutored inner city youth in Cabrini Green.  Furthermore, he served in student government.  In addition, he helped organize several successful school-wide social outings. 

 

Early Career

 

The first attorney job Daniel Gigiano had was an assistant state’s attorney in Joliet, Illinois.  The State’s Attorney’s Office performs the same functions as a Prosecutor’s Office.  In 1996, he became a full-time guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children in Chicago.  In 1997, Attorney Daniel Gigiano joined the Macon County State’s Attorney’s Office in Decatur, Illinois. 

 

Daniel Gigiano: Ohio Attorney

 

 

In 1999, Daniel Gigiano moved to Ohio.  He performed real estate title searches and corporate merger searches.  Later that year, he worked for the Summit County Legal Defender Office.  In late 1999, Daniel Gigiano joined a firm in Akron.  There, he worked on high-stakes multimillion dollar cases.  In 2000, he joined an existing practice in Wadsworth.  His practice consisted of bankruptcy, criminal defense, family law, probate, estate planning, real estate, corporate formation, and more.  In late 2002, Attorney Daniel Gigiano formed his current law firm.

 

Daniel Gigiano: Current Practice

 

Attorney Daniel Gigiano currently practices in the following areas: family law, criminal defense, bankruptcy, business formation, estate planning, probate, personal injury and civil litigation.  During this time, he achieved many victories for his clients.  He won his first criminal defense jury trial.  It was an assault case.  In addition, he earned substantial personal injury settlements. Meanwhile, Dan got quite a few of his clients’ DUI cases dismissed.  Furthermore, he won custody and support battles for his clients.  Within the last year, Attorney Daniel Gigiano got two DUIs dismissed and won an assault jury trial. 

 

Daniel Gigiano: Personal Life

 

In his spare time, Dan Gigiano enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and watching football, baseball, basketball, and soccer.  A lifetime fan of Chicago teams, Dan Gigiano has become a fan of Cleveland sports, too.  He really enjoys the beautiful stadiums in Cleveland and Akron.  By the way, Dan is looking forward to the possibility of an Indians-Cubs World Series.  In addition to professional sports, he also watches high school sports.  He spent fifteen years as a referee and several years coaching youth sports.  He also spends time with the Wadsworth Lions Club, an organization dedicated to providing the less fortunate people of the world assistance with vision problems.  Eyeglasses placed into those Lions Club eyeglass collection bins may very well allow a child in a third world country the opportunity to see clearly.  Finally, Dan Gigiano has served as the Candy Day chairman and President of the Wadsworth Lions Club.
